The center is located on the beach, right in front of the spot. We have a large but quiet bay with a protected sandy bottomed lagoon, ideal to launch and land and perfect for beginners. The more advanced kiters will also appreciate the amount of space to practice new tricks and the excursions to outer reefs. The water inside the lagoon is flat and we have some swell outside. The wind is just up and down all year round but we have a constant side shore/side on wind blowing so if you can just bring all the kite sizes you have. We personally have kites from 6 to 17. Water temperatures are sweet. From May to October you can comfortably kite in swimming suit or with sun protection clothes and from November to April we recommend that you bring a thin wetsuit like 3mm. To keep this hidden gem out of the crowd we allow a maximum of 25 kiters on the spot at the same time. We have 1 IKO instructors on site for courses (Arabic and English speaking). We offer rental equipment (Airush), storage facility and a chilling area/bar at the kite station.

The Destination

Our village is quite small and everything is 100m away from the other. We are located between the Red Sea and the mountains in a very quiet environment disturbed mainly by the birds and some occasional wild camels. We do love to share drinks after a nice day in the water but no wild parties here. Our location is perfect for people who are looking for tranquility and come back to nature.

The Experience

We provide accommodation full-board on site in our ecolodge (max. capacity 60pers). We have 3 types of accommodation to fit all budgets, from 40€ to 90€ per night and per person.

If there is no wind, we have a lot of activities to offer which includes mainly scuba diving (PADI courses and excursions), snorkelling (on your own or special excursion for dolphins or dugong), SUP, quad or bird watching. We offer Kite + Dive package as well with 10% discount if clients book courses for both.

After a nice session, you can enjoy a cold beer or a glass of wine at the Yellow Penguin Bar, the bar of the kite station in an international and cosy atmosphere.

Accommodation

We feature 3 different kind or accommodations in Wadi Lahami Village to fit all wishes and budgets. Our concept started 30 year ago with our tents that are one of our village hallmarks and an exciting experience of how our concept all began. We have 2 kind of tents and Deluxe Chalet for people looking for more confort. The village capacity is maximum 60 people so everything is close to the other and you can easily walk from your accommodation to the restaurant then to the kite surfing center or the diving center within few minutes. Our location is situated between the mountains, the mangroves and the Red Sea and is therefore really quiet and perfect for people looking for tranquility and come back to nature. We like to say that the only disturbance are the birdsongs and the occasional wild camels.
