The unique benefit of staying at El Ñuro is that you will have waterfront access to a secret kitesurfing spot all to yourselves! The spot is a paradise located away from the busier resorts where it'll be just you and your kite enjoying nature. We are fortunate to experience wind most days throughout the year, although the perfect season runs from May to December. Typically the wind blows cross onshore between 12-20 knots starting around 1 pm. Most likely you will be using a 9m kite or occasionally a 12m for the lighter days. You will have access to small beach break waves against a lovely long white sand beach. Please get in touch with us if you would like more specific details on the wind and location.
Casa Spondylus offers fantastic group accommodation suited to all wind enthusiasts, however we have a lot more to add. Situated in nature you are able to watch whales from the beach, or even swim with turtles just a short drive, or longer walk away.
Kayaks, paddleboards and floaties are available for you to enjoy, as well as nature books and board games for your entertainment. We even have a cook who is happy to prepare meals for you (food costs are extra) to take any stress out of your stay. Massages, additional tours and activities are available and can be organised for you on request.
Casa Spondylus is the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. At the end of your day kitesurfing you can watch the best sunsets you have ever seen from your beach front apartment.
Getting there and extra information
You can fly from Lima to Piura ( 3 hours by car), Tumbes ( 2 hours by car), or Talara ( 45 minutes away). Since Casa Spondylus is located on a private beach renting a car is a must, although we are happy to help you out with a reservation. Your hire car can be picked up right at the airport.
