We are a fast growing platform for sports experiences and travel. Think of us as Airbnb for sports. We started in kitesurfing and are now expanding into other outdoor sports. We have completed the www.leadsportsaccelerator.com in Berlin and are now preparing to raise our next investment round.

About the Role

bstoked would like to welcome to its team another qualified software developer. We are looking for an experienced and ambitious .NET Developer to join our team. As a .NET Developer you will be exposed to the entire software development lifecycle, you will work on the specification, design, coding, testing and deployment of various solutions within a Javascript and Microsoft .NET environment.

The ideal candidate is passionate and spirited, lives and breathes Agile and firmly believes in creating clean, testable code. This role is suitable only for a highly motivated personality that will share and execute the founders vision: making bstoked the dominant platform that brings the most unique outdoor sports experiences to everyone.

The software developer role can be a full time position or part-time (freelance). You will have all the freedom to design your work and lifestyle: we want you to feel good so you can be creative and productive. We love our project, tech, sports and travel and we hope you will share these passions with us!

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver new features on our core platform and related services
• Collaborate with a globally distributed and multidisciplinary team
• Assist in requirements identification and in producing specifications
• Create and maintain a development environment for efficient testing and integration
• Assist QA to define acceptance tests
• Support the creation and maintenance of technical documentation
• Participate in team knowledge management and make recommendations for continuous improvement of SDLC
• Contribute and adhere to coding standards, best practices, and procedures

Requirements

• Enjoy learning new skills and using the best tools for the job
• Solid experience in Software Development, Design and Architecture
• Strong C#, .NET framework and HTML5/CSS3 knowledge
• Javascript ES6 knowledge
• Comfortable with tools such as Gulp, SASS and NPM
• Excellent practical knowledge of OOP concepts and SOLID principles
• Hands-on experience with SQL
• Experience with the MVC architectural pattern
• Experience with Unit and Integration testing
• Cloud experience
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• Superb communication skills, ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Fluent in English

... and "nice to have":

• React or Angular experience would be a big plus
• .NET Core experience
• Azure experience beneficial
• Working within a microservices architecture/distributed architecture
• Experience of working in a compliance environment
• Scalability and high throughput software…
• Marketplace/Booking platform experience
• A personal interest in action sports, notably kitesurfing would of course be a plus
