This is probably the world's most traveled long-distance downwind in the world. If you want to explore Brazil's northern beaches while being out in the ocean, this kite trip is for you. The team of Windspirit Kite Experience will take you to the best kite spots between Cumbuco and Preá.

The Experience

The Kite Trip you were waiting for. :) During this kite trip Windspirit Kite Experience will take you to the best spots on Brazil's Northeast coast where you'll be able to go downwind every day. The downwind distance differs between 35 and 60 kilometers. This is what your trip will look like: *Day 1: Check-in is from 2 p.m. in Cumbuco *Day 2: Downwind Cumbuco x Paracurú (40 km) *Day 3: Downwind Paracurú x Flecheiras (55 km) *Day 4: Downwind Flecheiras x Icaraí de Amontada (50 km) *Day 5: Day-off in Icaraí de Amontada *Day 6: Downwind Icaraí de Amontada x Ilha do Guajirú (35 km) *Day 7: Downwind Ilha do Guajirú x Prea (60 km) & check-out

Accommodation

We will check-in in another Pousada everyday as we downwind along the coast. We pick the best places to stay at, all clean, comfortable and bright - whenever possible, we stay close to the beach. If you are interested in the trip, get in touch and we send you examples of pousadas we are staying at.

Hi, my name is Patricia and I am extremely passionate about Brazil and Latin America. After having traveled a lot I decided to stay and live in Brazil. And well, what can I say, I love it. I work remotely in the social impact and social innovation area, managing projects and creating new opportunities. Because I wanted to emerge myself more into kitesurfing I spent the last wind season in Prea whereby Windspirit Experience got my second home and the place where I felt safe to improve my kite surf skills. And then it happened that I started working for them, too. :)

Tell us more about what brought you to the path that you're on, the "why" behind your business and your offering(s), what excites you most about the work that you do, etc...?

Because of my own experience and journey when learning the sport I can now without any doubt recommend Windspirit Kite Center. It was the place where I finally got confident with kite and board and wind and water - and where I truly evolved while enjoying every moment. I became so grateful for this experience that I started working for them. That's why I am now responsible for the management of the kite camps. So I am happy to answer any questions or doubts.
