Our Kite Camp in Esposende offers a perfect mix of wind, waves and flat water. This stunning location near the river and the sea offers an incredible scenery and the conditions are perfect for learning kite, surf and SUP. Come alone or with friends for an experience like no other!

Esposende is where the Cavado river meets the ocean. Sheltered by sand dunes at the river mouth the spot offers flat water conditions as well as waves. Due to the thermal winds in the summer the wind always exceeds the forecast with an average of 18-25 knots. This phenomenon is called “Nortada” - which means “Strong North Wind.” Water temperatures rise to about 18-20 degrees, a 3/2mm wetsuit minimum is recommended.

The Destination

Our Guest House is in the center of Esposende, a small and typical Portuguese village, vibrant during the summer. Esposende is located near Porto and Braga, both ancient cities of Portugal with amazing cultural offers. About 60km away is Geres whose rugged hills are home to an abundance of wildlife including golden eagles, wolves and deer. There are a few night clubs in town offering and a variety of local restaurants and cafes.

The Experience

This experience is for those who want to experience kite, surf and SUP. The first introduction of Kitesurfing (2 hours) where you can feel the wind, more 4 hours of surf lessons and more 4 hours of SUP lessons. In alternative you can choose to have 10h of surf lessons plus 5h of Sup board free use with guidance!

Our team is devoted to water sports. Whatever the weather brings – we'll make sure that you will always have a great & memorable day.

Accommodation

Accommodation in a shared room in our nice guest house is included. A private room is available with surcharge of 15€/day.
