The Destination

The remote and untamed wilderness of Vancouver Island is a life changing experience. Giant trees provide a high canopy to explore ancient moss covered forests. These are the hunting grounds of the indigenous people who have foraged for years in pursuit of the abundant wild mushrooms and berries. Wild rivers flow to incredible lakes surrounded by sky high mountains. British Columbia is truly breathtaking.

The Experience

Experience true freedom. We will set up camp on a remote lake in Northern Vancouver Island. Days will be spent exploring the nearby rivers and caves along with kitesurf lessons on the lake and various spots around the island. The pace of the camp is catered to the students and activities are arranged day by day to the freedom of our guests.

Coaching

Our teaching is based on giving students a firm grasp of kitesurfing fundamentals. Taking more time to commit kite control into muscle memory has consistently produced more confident and safe kitesurfers. After practice with a trainer kite and body dragging we head up wind with our zodiac to provide the students open space to practice and get one on one coaching in a relaxed environment. The pace of each lesson is completely customised to the student.

Advanced tours are held at a variety of spots around the island with all riding conditions- flat water, chop and beautiful waves.

Excursions

Prominent limestone features surround the lake and provide us the opportunity to water tube through beautiful caves and swim with salmon in the crystal clear river and hike through ancient forests to explore beautiful bluffs overlooking the Johnstone Strait.
