The weather conditions are ideal in El Gouna. Most of the year round we have constant and reliable side on-shore wind and blue sky. We teach in the biggest flat water lagoon in El Gouna with plenty of room for everyone. The water temperature is varying between 20 degrees in the winter (January – February) and 29 Degrees in the summer (July – August). The water is waist-high during high tide and knee high during low tide, with a sandy bottom. However we recommend you to bring water-shoes at all times and a long-sleeve wetsuit in the winter. If you get cold easy a short wetsuit is recommended between the winter and summer months. We are using the latest 2019 Duotone equipment suitable for beginners as well as advanced riders. The center has everything you need including the following: International restaurant & bar, free Wifi, showers, changing room, clean toilets, shop, chill out areas, multiple sunbathing areas, compressor, rescue boats and beach assistants. Days without wind are rare in Egypt, but do not despair if it happens! On no wind days you can book snorkelling trips, catamaran sunset trips, quad biking, motocross, cable park, horse riding, diving, Cairo / Luxor excursions and hiking through us!

The Destination

We are based in El Gouna, a modern town resort 30 minutes from Hurghada airport. The town combines the authentic Egyptian culture and a modern European standard, and is famous for its reliable winds, sunshine and big flatwater lagoons. The destination has plenty of accommodation options for any budget, with over 18 hotels and Airbnb vacation rentals to choose from. El Gouna’s main areas are Downtown and the Marina, there you will find anything you need such as: Restaurants, exciting night life, cinema, souvenir shopping, supermarkets, pharmacies, hospital and more. To move around El Gouna is easy, just grab a tuk tuk!

At Nomad Kite Events all levels from complete beginners to advanced riders are welcome. If you want to have unlimited hours on the water, our 6 days kite camp/event is what you’re looking for! If you prefer to book by the hour we can offer either private or group lessons.

WHAT IS AN EVENT? An event is 6 days of constant progression weather you are a complete beginner, intermediate or advanced rider. The event gives you maximum hours on the water with our professional IKO instructors. Our events are also perfect for the single travellers who would like to meet like-minded people and participate in evening activities and no-wind activities around El Gouna. We will show you our best hang outs and let you live like a local!
