An immense lagoon of Dakhla is a unique place to practice wingfoil. Its constant wind blowing all the year round, flat shallow water, sandy bottoms and total absence of risks permit you to learn or progress in wingfoil in complete safety and short time. The best wind conditions for wing foiling are probably in spring, autumn and winter season when we have the wind from 8kn to 20kn max. In summer the wind is pumping in Dakhla and sometimes can overpass even 35kn, but we still can catch moderate wind early morning or evening. So don't hesitate to come :) The water temperature in Summer is about 22 degrees in lagoon, while in autumn and winter it goes down to 18-19 degrees. Though in Summer we recommend to bring your 4 and 3m wings, while in autumn and winter 5-7 are perfect. As for the wetsuits, 3/2 long should work well all the year round.
As most of the flights arrive in Dakhla late evening, we expect you to have a good night rest before we start the trip. We plan to make 6 coaching days with a session/day, which means that during the next 6 days we will have morning or afternoon session and the rest of the day you can dedicate to enjoy your vacation in this unique land, take a yoga session with our professional teacher, ride a quad or just chill on the beach. We will make sure you make progressions and find the conditions that suit you the best. The choice of the spot and the time of the lesson every day will depend obviously on the forecast, real conditions and the student level. Be sure to avoid crowded spots, with our 4-wheel drive you are going to discover the most beautiful spots in the area. During your stay and on the most "unwindy" day we will organize a sandboard trip! Our dunes sandboard park close to the ocean is definetly worth to see and to ride in!
We will start our first wingfoil lesson already the next morning after your arrival, choosing the best time of the day according to wind and tide conditions and of course to avoid the "high Season” crowds on the spot. We have developed a training concept for the Wing Foil that will get you to "fly" over the water quickly and safely. Everyday our instructors will follow your progress step by step, properly evaluate the risks, and make the learning process fun and simple!
We collaborate with professional yoga teacher, who's specialized on different yoga practices, such as hatha, vinyasa, kundalini and others. During your 6 days experience with us you'll have an opportunity to practice yoga before or after your wingfoil adventure. Please, do not hesitate to ask about exact yoga practice once you are here
