The locations we go to are normally flat water and strong winds. Generally 20-30knots so be prepared with your smaller kites. Check windy.com location link : https://on.windy.com/6lmbm The weather in the Philippines is divided into two seasons. During the summer months, June to October, the Southwest monsoon, called Habagat, brings generally wet and overcast weather with a few typhoons to the Philippines. Kitesurfing season is the winter months, November to mid-April, is the Northeast monsoon called Amihan. This brings generally dry, consistent wind and blue skies to the Philippines and is the preferred season for kitesurfing. Air and sea temperature throughout the winter months is perfectly warm, there is certainly no need for a wetsuit. Enjoy flat water with 20+ Knot offshore winds and ocean swell that wraps around the tropical islands.

The Experience

With a combination of sea, sailing, kitesurfing, and exploring local island villages, this kite cruise through the Philippines is full of discovery, adventure, and of course; plenty of kiteboarding.

The 8 day cruise will visit virgin islands around Palawan, and more isolated and windy islands around Cuyo. While sailing there is ample space to relax, take in the sea air, try fishing, sunbath, and take the opportunity to learn a little sailing.

Once arrived at a kitesurfing destinations, we can launch kites from the catamaran or head to the beach on our powerful 4m tender that is always ready to bring you to the beach and for rescue service. You will quickly learn how to set up your kite, start and finish your session from the yacht, and realize the full potential of kiting from a catamaran.

There will be opportunities to visit the indigenous fishing village communities, who are always welcoming with warm smiles.

All meals are prepared fresh and packed with the nutrients you need to stay active, we try and use local produce as much as possible, and never miss out an opportunity for a fresh fish from passing local fishermen.

You can always go snorkeling or diving (yes we have diving equipment onboard!) to explore the marine life, or take a stand up paddle board exploring. Or relax on the sunbeds, watch the sunset from a hammocks with a cocktail. there is something for everyone, all the time!

Your Kitesurfing Level

To make the most of the trip, you should be at independent Kiteboarder with your own equipment. The kite locations we go to have off-shore winds, so you must be able to go upwind reliably. But in case the wind goes light, or you have an issue with your kite, our rescue dingy is always on standby. If you are an advanced kite surfer, you’ll love the constant strong wind, flat water, waves, and the luxury starting and finishing your session off a catamaran. Get Foiling! There is no where better to learn to kite-foil then from behind the catamaran, where the water is flat and deep. The crew can give you coaching and rescue service. There is currently one foil-board onboard available for you to use.

FAQ

Will I get Seasick? Generally, no. People don’t get seasick while on Siriya. When sailing a catamaran roles very little compared to normal sail boats or ferry. When we anchor, we are in an area sheltered from waves, so Siriya moves even less. Having said this, if you know you are prone to seasickness, start taking tablets one day before starting your kite safari.

No wind days? Not really, but very very occasionally during the North East monsoon season, (November to mid-April) there can be light wind days. Don’t worry, take the opportunity to try foilboarding. Also we still have plenty of toys to play with onboard out luxury catamaran, SUP boards, Giant SUP, Snorkeling, Hookah diving.

I am not a Kitesurfer, can I still come? Yes, you’ll still have an amazing time. Explore the islands, chill on the boat, go swimming, snorkeling or paddling. There is always something to do.
