Nothing is more important than constant wind. From December through to June the ancient trade winds blow 15-20 knots 80% of the time. The sea is crystal clear and warm all year round. No wetsuits needed. Skies are always blue and rain is minimal. All locations are uncrowded and the variety of kite spots is huge. Visit another island each day and choose between waves, lagoons, mirror flat freestyle or downwinders.

Some of these mind blowing kite spots are only accessible by our specialist catamaran charters. The Grenadines are surrounded by reefs, crystal waters and white sand beaches. The colours here are incredible and the inhabitants easily transmit their laid back friendly vibe.

Life on Board
On a private yacht you have complete freedom to discover at your own pace the vast multitude of beaches, bays, lagoons and reefs. Spend one night in a harbor with animated beach bars, live music and restaurants and the next day kitesurf on a desert island away from the crowds.
Kite Cruise Grenadines includes more than just kitesurfing, it's also about experiencing a new way of life. Wake up inside a turquoise lagoon and start the day with a dip in the water whilst breakfast is prepared by the crew. Each day brings a new adventure whether it be discovering a new island, learning a new trick or catching fish for the evening BBQ.
Meals: Our 'all inclusive' package includes 3 gourmet meals prepared each day by our chef. We pride ourselves in offering a high standard of cuisine using only the best local ingredients. We also offer self catering trips for guests who prefer to cook their own meals. Groceries can be purchased before departure and the ship's galley is at your disposal.
Sailing: You don't have to be a sailing fanatic to enjoy island hopping on a catamaran. Under sail the boat is very stable and guests have the freedom to move around the vessel. Sunbathe on the trampolene, relax in the cockpit or try your luck at fishing. Guests are also welcome to participate in sailing the boat. By the end of the trip you should be able to lift anchor, hoist the sails and take the helm by yourself.
Anchorages: The anchorages we visit are all protected from the ocean swells and the beach is usually within comfortable swimming distance. Our crew is always at hand to help you ashore in the auxiliary tender. It is often possible to launch your kite directly from the catamaran!
Evening Entertainment: At the end of the day it's a great time to go ashore and visit the local villages. Most destinations offer a wide selection of watering holes for the thirsty kiter and a variety of restaurants specializing in local cuisine. Evenings on the boat are spent relaxing over a few beers whilst the crew prepares the BBQ. Discuss the day's events, play your music over the boats music system or twist the skipper's arm to get out his guitar.
For those wishing to learn the sport or develop new skills during the kite cruise, we have a fully equipped kitesurf school on board. With the latest North Kite gear and a personal instructor you can quickly improve your level during your stay. Lessons take place in uncrowded areas with a safety boat under close supervision.
- Standard Beginner Course: A basic beginner course lasts 10 hours (5 x 2hr lessons). Lessons can be taken at your own pace depending on your physical ability and are compulsory until you are riding upwind. By the end of the trip you will most probably be riding and addicted!
- Intermediate supervision: All our guests are constantly supervised for maximum safety and our rescue boat is close by. Whatever your level our instructor is at hand to answer questions and analyze technical problems. We also have a wide range of equipment on board in case you break something or just want to try out the latest gear from NORTH.
- Advanced Video: The best way to perfect techniques and get to the next level is to see yourself on video and identify what you are doing wrong. Sessions are recorded on camera then analysed on the boat’s screen afterwards. With a few tips from our instructor it is easy to see where things can be improved.
In our role as North ambassadors we have a selection of the latest kites and boards for you to try out during your trip. If you choose to travel light and ride some new kites, we offer interesting gear rental packages including North kites and boards for the whole trip.
Gear rental is available to confident riders and can be booked per day or per trip. An insurance is also offered on option to cover you in case of any material damage.
For non-kiters there are heaps of other activities available to keep you occupied.
- Fishing: Fishing is a part of every day life and whenever we sail there is always a line out. No trip goes without its share of fresh tuna, dorado or barracuda.
- Snorkeling: Snorkeling is always a favorite. The colorful reefs are full of marine life and easily accessible for everyone to enjoy.
- Paddleboarding: a SUP is available to explore the lagoons and reefs around the anchorage.
- Island Excursions: The islands offer great opportunities to go hiking in the tropical mountains, visit sets from ‘pirates of the caribbean’ or absorb the atmosphere at colorful markets.
- Learn to Sail: With a little help from our skipper, learn to hoist the sails, lift the anchor and sail away!

The smallest inhabited island and the most picturesque anchorage. Local rastas serve drinks and fresh lobster on the pristene palm lined beach. A short hike up to the rustic hilltop village is rewarded with stunning views of the islands. Many quote Mayreau as the best spot on the trip. In the achorage there is a tiny ultra flat freestyle spot but most go to the windward lagoon to play in the waves and get high air from the kickers. Also possible to start a downwinder to Union.
Clifton village in Union offers a chance to replenish the stores. There are some great local markets and they even have internet here!! In the evening the bars and restaurants are often animated with live music. The windward lagoon is ultra flat and great for freestyle. This is the most crowded kite spot and you may find another 5-10 riders here! A few tacks upwind out of the lagoon takes you to the waves on the reef of Palm Island.
Another favorite is just a short downwinder from Union. Fregate island is a remote spot that offers ultra flat offshore conditions. Suitable for freestylers and beginners alike.
PSV (Petit Saint-Vincent) is a millionaires private island but cruisers are welcome to have a look around and eat/drink at the bar. The lagoon north of the island offers amazing colors and flat/choppy conditions. It is a great place to start a downwinder to the tiny sand bar called Morpion.
4 islands make up the national park of the uninhabited Cays. The tiny islands are populated with birds and iguanas and the lagoons are home to hundreds of sea turtles and rays. Kitesurfing here is breathtaking for the scenery. Conditions are flat/choppy and there is a great left hand wave at the end of horseshoe reef. The Cays are a good departure point for a downwinder to Mayreau.
The largest settlement and the most picturesque village. This old whaling base hosts some great local markets and a wide selection of restaurants and watering holes! We make a brief stop here whilst the skipper clears immigration. No kiting Potential stop on the way down
Host to the film ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’. We take a break on the journey home to visit one of the film sets and take a glimpse at the scenery of this spectacular tropical haven. No kiting Potential stop on the way back
Itineraries are not binding and the actual itinerary can be adjusted by the host because of unforeseen circumstances or other reasons!

Our first trip to the Caribbean was long overdue. After we have been on pilgrimage to Brazil for several years for our kitesport, we decided to go to another destination. Very curious about the experiment kite and catamaran we set off and hardly there we did not want to go home. The different spots and the kiting directly from the boat inspired us - even though the wind is certainly a bit more constant and safe in Brazil - we also had time to release. A quite super tripp and very recommendable. Surely you need a bit bigger kites than in Brazil.
This is one of the best trips I have ever done. Very friendly, good organized and for kite surfing you can get alot of experience. I can only recomend Caribbean Kite Cruise. It was „super cool“! :)
Sorry for my english, I am from Argentina, and spanish is my language. Ill try anyway. This is the kind of trip its hard to forget. Most probably you wont. Certain things I think you should know though. I hope by doing this review I can take you out any doubts from doing this trip. Things you should not do; Dont bring kids! In fact, I recommend, dont bring anyone, no matter how old is, that does not kite. Spots are amazingly beautiful, clear water, sunny days, but you will live in a boat. And the boat might turn out to be very small if you wont leave it at any time. On the contrary, if you are kiting the boat is cool. In our case, it was for all us our first experience in sleeping in a boat. And it turn out to be cool, we were very lucky with our mates, and we were all from different countries; England, Egipt, Germany, and Swiss! Very nice people! English became the language in the boat. The Captain, Hugo, very nice guy, and his girlfriend Emily, our chef, were great. Both from France, and this french people knows how to cook, probably they were born in an oven. We ate great. We had the opportunity of buying beer and wine after the airport and before getting into the port the first day, it helps a lot. The boat has 3 freezers! This is not very normal, captain told me! Your beverages will be cool enough every time you need one. Try, if you can, if you have the money, to take a plane to Union island, try to avoid the 18 trip hours from St Lucia to the Grenadines (6 hours to St Vincent + 6 hours for the crew to rest + 6 hours from St Vincent to the grenadines) Its an open ocean trip, boat moves a lot and it is not very nice, you might get sick. I wish I would have read about this. Once you get in the Grenadines…. its paradise! I think, due to what I heard, that we were lucky with the wind, may is not the best month apparently, though we had wind every day. In my case, I am 1,80 mts tall and 80 kg, I kited 80% of the time with a 12 size, except for one day I used the 10. There are not enough words to describe our week. I truly recommend this to everyone. Right now, while writing this review, Im home, kind of depress, maybe is time to think in my next trip. Keep on kiting! Cheers from Argentina.
Hugo and Emilie Are amazing people, making the best food and help you with the kiting. They take you around in heaven, just so you can have fun. The beaches and the water are just beautiful... so it's a dream tour.
We made the Catamaran Kite cruise for 12 days to St. Vincent and the Grenadines in total with 5 people plus the crew Richard and Luca. That cruise was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed our stay on the boat so much. Everything worked perfect. Captain Richard and Luca were always so helpful and friendly, and of course very funny:-) . The meals - served from Luca - were really brilliant. So there is nothing, what we missed during our boat trip. The wind was okay, we took the whole time 12 qm kites. It was an amazing experience that we will never forget. And it was not just a vacation we felt like staying with friends :-) . Also the booking and planning of the trip with Aaron from bStoked was absolutely brilliant. He had so many useful tipps and informations that helped us to organize this unforgettable trip. Thanks a lot to the whole bstoked team and specially Aaron. And for sure, if we are going to plan our next trip, we will get in touch with bstoked!
Excellent crew, very professional and taking care of any single request by everybody, even the most spoiled ones... Great kiting spots, beautiful catamaran, great and always different food... we would for sure recommend it and we will for sure travel again with them if possible!
