The Destination

Haiti is a great undiscovered travel frontier of the Caribbean, making it a noncrowded tourist destination of rich culture and history ready to be shared by locals. French and Haitian Creole are the two official languages of Haiti. The coastline is dotted with tranquil beaches, located between vertiginous mountain trails and lush tropical vegetation. It's vibrant art scene, irresistible seafood cuisine, and many talented musicians with influential sounds of African, European and Caribbean beats stir's your heart to a gateway to heaven. As Christopher Columbus once described somewhere in Haiti lies a hidden gem, 'an entrance to paradise' called Môle Saint-Nicolas. Môle Saint-Nicolas is waterfront village located on the northwestern windward coast of Haiti. The area provides an enjoyable kitesurfing experience in a conservation site, protected by local authorities who work hard to help preserve the biodiversity, nature, culture, and history of the island. Until this day blue lizards, iguanas, lowland birds still exist and wander about the pristine white sands around Boukan Guinguette - Haiti's first and only Kiteschool. Apart from kiteboarding, you can enjoy other complementary activities such as scuba diving under the most beautiful underwater world of the country, but as well, hiking, mountain bike, kayak to name a few.

The Experience

Môle Saint Nicolas is an ecotourism destination in a paradisiacal spot of a large protected bay with a turquoise sea, cross-onshore wind, and long downwinder all through the bay. Here you have the choice to enjoy great kitesurfing conditions or be entertained by outdoor activities of hiking, MTB, boat trip, caves, kayak, snorkeling, historical sites, etc. Want to pamper yourself to a relaxing mood after an unforgettable 5km downwinder or other outdoor activities? No worries, Boukan Guinguette warm-hearted local staff are always ready to arrange a massage specifically designed for your needs.

Even though the country has gone through some devastating natural disaster & political instability, a lot of positive development has flourished by local authorities who work hard in preserving the environment and local economy. Reality is totally different, Haitian culture is truly enriching with many hidden historical sites, mouth-watering fresh seafood, and good vibes far from overcrowded spots where you can appreciate each moment of serenity.

Accommodation

At Boukan Guinguette you can choose to stay in a bungalow or equipped tent. Both include breakfast and free Wifi and are located just near the beach. Comforting and simple accommodation inspired by the exotic traditional style of Mole's region. It is the perfect getaway to de-stress and enjoy the freshness of the area. When the sun hits it's peak you always have the opportunity to take a nap on the hammocks underneath the trees along the beach while listening to the sounds of breaking waves.
