When it comes to kitesurfing the waters of the British Virgin Islands simply picture the shots of Richard Bransons Neckar Island in Red Bulls famous “Chapter One” movie – just better. They really are a magical playground with great quality tradewinds blowing from November to July with about 15-20 knots and water so clear and warm that you won’t need a wetsuit. You decide on the style of your kite sessions. Thanks to the freedom of sailing with the Belline II catamaran we can cater to almost all of your wishes from shallow waters and flat surfaces to small or even bigger waves when we get lucky with the northerly swell. Be prepared for some awesome downwinders as well.

The Destination

Trade your boots for sandals when you join Walter, Arlette and the crew to sail and kite amidst a stunning tropical scenery. Lush green landscapes, rustling palm trees and an ocean so radiant turquoise it makes the spotless blue sky look almost grey are just some of the features that will have you rave about this trip in no time. Experience a new sense of freedom when you set out to explore the BVIs four main islands Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Anegada and Jost Van Dyke along with its over 50 other small islands and cays – most of them uninhabited. Close together and therefore well protected from the Atlantic the islands are a watersports paradise. Calm waters and a steady breeze provide for some of the best kitesurfing and sailing in the Caribbean. Plus, if you venture under water you will be rewarded with some of the world’s most intact reefs and a pristine underwater world.

The Experience

Set your watch on island time and decide how you’d like to spend your day. Would you like to go kitesurfing or maybe do some more sailing, snorkeling, wakeboarding, kayaking or diving? Or maybe rather explore some of the islands while sipping from fresh coconuts and having a BBQ on the beach? The Belline II catamaran can offer all that and probably more. Picture yourself already there. Waking up in the morning to the smell of freshly brewed coffee, a homemade breakfast and the sight of crystal clear waters surrounding you. There’s a brilliant day lying ahead of you and everything is set to leave your daily grind behind and let yourself be immersed in a truly relaxing experience.

To us, a great trip is composed by three things: fun, food & family. Well, to be honest, it’s hard not to have fun and feel happy in such a beautiful place like the Virgin British Islands. Being aboard a beautiful catamaran like the Belline II also helps. But enjoying good food with lovely people after a day out and about is what makes it perfect.

When booking the Belline II you get to leave your stress and the daily grind behind and experience the richness of lonely islands, quiet bays, deserted beaches and unforgettable kitesurf sessions. You’ll be staying on a fully equipped 48ft catamaran and tended to by Arlette and Jeremie.

Kitesurf Lessons

Whether you are keen to get started or are an experienced kitesurfer who’d like to pull off a new trick – we’re happy to help. We can currently offer lessons for two people at a time, allowing for learning at an individual pace and highest safety standards. Courses range from trial lessons to advanced level kiting and include all the gear you will need. Please inquire with Arlette for our rates.

Dive in the Ocean

Of course this is a kitesurf cruise and we are dedicated to offer you as much wind time as possible, but sometimes it’s nice to take a break and experience something different or even totally new.

Also maybe not all of your friends or family kite but would love to join you on this adventure. That’s only one of the reasons why we are well equipped to take you snorkeling or diving. Arlette is a certified PADI dive instructor and always keen on passing on her passion and knowledge to our guests. Don’t miss this opportunity to see the most stunning reefs of the Caribbean up close! There are many different options to do so, ranging from discovery dives to the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course and certificate. All equipment will be supplied, so there’s really no excuse to miss out on this magnificent experience. Please inquire with Arlette for our rates.

The Team

Thanks to over 25 successful years in the business we have established valuable local contacts which allow us to offer you a one of a kind sailing, kiting and diving experience in the British Virgin Islands. This is the team that’ll be sailing with you:

Arlette Wyss – She’s an accomplished captain, a passionate dive instructor and avid kitesurfer. Born and raised in Switzerland Arlette is a very sporty and adventurous spirit. She first fell in love with the Caribbean and sailing as a child, during a holiday on the Belline II! Arlette has returned ever since and has now found her calling as captain of the Belline II. She can’t wait to introduce you to the dream which she can now call her life.

Jeremie Rouaix – Experienced kitesurf instructor, all-round good vibe ambassador and Chef Extraordinaire. He will turn his love of food into a feast for all and have you up on the board with a broad grin across your face in no time. It’s hard to escape his enthusiasm and his love for life is addictive. Jeremie is a skilled teacher who can cater to any experience level. That said, he especially enjoys handing on his knowledge and passion to beginners.

Walter Wegmann – Or as he’s known in the BVI waters “Walter-will-fix-it”. He’s captain, dive instructor, engineer and chef. After 25 years of sailing and exploring the Caribbean Walter has semi-retired and now only joins in on special occasions or requests by guests. He has catered to more than a 1,000 guests over the years, many of them returning year after year to their personal Caribbean dream. So Arlette had the chance to learn from one of the best!

You will have to book your flights independently. Pick ups and drop offs are available from Beef Island (BVI) but also from St. Thomas in the USVI as flights tend to be much cheaper.

Sailing on the Belline II feels like a breeze as she offers great stability, speed and space. That makes her the perfect vessel for the kitesurf adventure of a lifetime. Being a 48ft catamaran she offers about 1070 square feet of deck, so there’s plenty of space for all your gear, sunbathing and relaxed gatherings without feeling crammed. The two trampolines, six sun mattresses and several hammocks are pretty inviting and a great place to chill after a day on the water. And if you still can’t get enough, the transoms offer comfortable stairs to a swimming platform and an additional freshwater shower. The main salon offers two comfortable sofas which are perfect for reading and thanks to our wireless speaker system you can also connect your own device for the perfect holiday soundtrack. Same is true for the cockpit with its deck chairs, sunbeds and teak table. Fully covered with a bimini it’s the perfect spot for a sunrise breakfast or sunset cocktails. We also love to serve dinner here, gazing at the stars. Actually, a lot of our guests choose this spot on the Belline II to enjoy a night out on deck with the unspoiled view of the Milky Way above them. The Belline II offers four double guest cabins, each with its own private bathroom. The cherry wood fitted cabins come with a queen-sized bed, bookshelves, a fan and plenty of storage space. Of course there are power sockets for your digital devices and towels & sheets are also included. You’ll also be delighted to hear that the whole boat is fitted with an air conditioning system. The Belline II can be chartered from seven days up to three weeks. Our all-Inclusive yacht charter rates are especially tailored to larger groups and family cruises. With our four double cabins we are able to accommodate up to eight guests. For a seven days all-inclusive private charter. Please inquire for more information.
