Located in the path of the regular north-eastern trade winds, Fuerteventura offers perfect wind conditions for windsurfing and kiteboarding all year round. Weather: The average air temperature sits around 20°C year round, with little variation between summer (24°C) and winter (18°C), making Fuerteventura a perfect all year round beach and holiday destination with more than 300 days of sunshine per year. Wind conditions: Fuerteventura offers regular winds between 15-30 knots the whole year with the exception of the autumn months (September- November) where the wind dies down slightly before coming back full force in the winter. During the winter months on the East coast spots, the wind speeds vary. We recommend having a range of kites between 8-12m. The wind speeds on the West coast are very similar to the East, though can sometimes be gusty. In summer on both East and West coasts are windy enough for 7-8 m kites. Overall we recommend to have a 7, 9 and 12 to be fully covered. Water conditions: East coast: flat or small waves West Coast: Choppy and Big waves.

Fuerteventura and other Canary islands have been called "The Islands of Eternal Spring" because of their pleasant weather throughout the year. However, with more than 300 days of sunshine per year and extremely low precipitation level, Fuerteventura climate is unique and unlike the weather conditions of the rest of the Canary archipelago. You will be situated in a remote and calm area far from the masses. At the same time you will not be far from hospitals, pharmacies, airports, supermarkets, nightlife and shopping centers. Although we are closer to the African continent than to Europe, the Canary Islands belong to Europe and all sovereign rights and services are assured like if you were in mainland Europe. There are no health hazards regarding water or food, nor terrorism, nor of any other kind. There are approximately 103,000 inhabitants on 1660km2. Most of the island is untouched and wild...but safe. The other islands to visit are similar with very scattered population. The food Mediterranean style: very healthy, low in fat and rich in vitamins and proteins. Lots of fish, tomatoes, lettuce, olive oil, goat cheese, potatoes. You can also find fabulous steaks imported from Mainland Spain for very cheap prices. Local white wines are world recognised for its quality and we highly recommend you try them.
On the first night we will sleep in the Caleta Fuste marina. Here we will get together in a fantastic local restaurant to plan the coming week. The plan for the week will depend on your kitesurf experience and wishes, weather forecasts and wave tides. We will choose the best areas to make the most enjoyable and unforgettable week of kitesurf holidays with friends or family.
Marina Castillo Caleta Fuste - Gran Tarajal Marina , Lobos Island - Corralejo MArina - Marina Rubicon - Papagayo Beach - Puerto Calero - La Graciosa - Alegranza - Caleta Fuste.
DAY 1: / It is highly recommended to begin by heading North to spend the day on Lobos Island. Lobos offers unbelievable snorkeling, swimming and sea life as well as awesome land trekking including the Lobos Volcano Mountain and of course some kite sessions. We have the dinghy as well as sup boards at our disposal to kite from the land. Normally Lobos is a day visit but our guests are so impressed with this place, they often want to stay another day or come back at the end of the journey. Everything is possible... After the day in Lobos, we can anchor and spend the night, or we can cross to Corralejo Marina. The trip is just 40 minutes sailing while watching stunning sunset and chill out music. We can spend the night in Corralejo and have dinner in one of the exquisite local fish restaurants. Corralejo is famous for exquisite good night life, though we recommend to rest well in order to fully enjoy the next day.
DAY 2: / The next day, we have the option to leave the boat in Corralejo to kite the famous Flag Beach kite spot or cross to Lanzarote Island and spend the day at Papagayo Beach. Papagayo Beach offers crystal clear, emerald green waters perfect for snorkelling and swimming. We will finish the day with a sunset sail and spend the night in Marina Rubicon, offering amazing restaurants and beautiful views and more.
DAY 3: /
On the third morning we can organize an excursion to Lanzarote Fire Mountains. The volcanos of are still active and offer unforgettable landscapes. Using the internal heat of the mountain we will indulge in a Volcano Barbeque.
DAY 4: /
The next day we can set course to Puerto Calero Marina. Leaving the boat at the marina, we will head to one of the best wave riding spots on the Canary Islands: Farma Beach.
DAY 5-7: / After spending the night in Puerto Calero we will have have a mid week meeting to decide if we want to keep going North to La Graciosa Island and Alegranza for more sightseeing and kiting or to go Island mountain-biking around Graciosa (highly recommended). There is also opportunity to kite on Graciosa.
Another Option can be to go South-West to Gran Tarajal. Here we will leave the boat and head to Sotavento Lagoon Los Gorriones- a world famous kite spot, where you can work on your wild maneuvers between all the pros.
Based on his knowledge and experience, your skipper will keep you informed on the best spot to be based on the weather conditions and forecast.
This itinerary is only a proposal and as open-minded as possible, to offer our guest as many options possible. The definite program will be the one you plan with your skipper on board, whether you want you vacation 100% kiteboarding or also including other activities- the trip is yours.
The best place to start the journey is from the Caleta Fuste Marina- just 15 min away from Puerto del Rosario International Airport. There are direct economic charter flights to this airport from most European Cities with companies like Condor, Air Berlin, Ryan Air, Iberia, Thomson etc.
We will pick your group up from the Airport and transfer you directly to the marina.
Onboard will be one skipper that will be always take care of your comfort and security. They know the islands and kite spots inside out and master many watersports.
For example our main skipper Javi Diaz is IKO official kite board instructor and ex. national Spanish kite champion, as well as windsurfer, surfer, sailor, dive master ... (Thats what happens when you are born on the coast and you have passion for the sea...).
Kite lessons can be organised through the trip as well as gear rentals as needed.
