Summary
We will kite in various water conditions mostly lagoons with flat and shallow water and choppy conditions out in the open water. Twin tips and surfboards are recommended though we don't recommend foil boards as there are far too many shallow areas. Wind generally blows between 18-25 knots at that time of the year. The water temperature is around 27 degrees C so no wetsuits are needed though long sleeves are recommended for sun protection.
The Destination
The Experience
The downwind and expedition training course is geared for kiters who have never done a downwinder before and for those who are interested in learning about planning their own amazing kite trips, downwinders and expeditions.
Downwinders
We will be based out of our kite camp and go on downwind trips everyday. For the safety and comfort of everyone taking part, we'll kite along the coast accompanied by a car and do a crossover to Masirah Island accompanied by a safety boat. All participants will also be equipped with a Rest Tube in case of any emergency out on the water.
We recommend you bring spare or replacement parts (or additional kites & boards) that may be needed in case of equipment failure, or to fit the riding conditions (extra bars and lines, surfboard for waves / skimboard, etc). Keep in mind that there are very few repair shops along the way and at the final destination.

The workshops contains the following topics:
- planning adventure kitesurfing
- packing and choosing of the right gear
